UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric stated today, Tuesday, that the United Nations has officially informed the United States of its concern regarding reports of American surveillance on UN Secretary-General António Guterres and other senior officials of the international organization. Dujarric added, "We have clarified that such actions are inconsistent with the United States' obligations under the UN Charter and the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations."
