Arrest of Drug Traffickers in Beirut

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, revealed that the Beirut Investigation Unit managed to identify two drug traffickers operating while riding their motorcycle. They are: H. H. (born in 1999, Lebanese) and M. M. (born in 1995, Lebanese). It was found that they were wanted under 3 judicial cases for attempted murder, shooting, and drug trafficking. On September 26, 2023, after careful surveillance, a patrol from the Beirut Investigation Unit arrested them while they were distributing drugs in the Rmayl neighborhood on their motorcycle. Upon searching them and their motorcycles, the following was seized: 12 plastic containers containing approximately 12g of cocaine, 9 plastic containers with approximately 26g of cocaine base, 4 sealed plastic containers containing approximately 16g of cocaine, a quantity of cocaine base and hashish, and a six-shot knife. During the investigation, they confessed to the charges regarding drug trafficking. Legal proceedings were taken against them, and they were handed over along with the seized items to the relevant authorities for further legal action based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.
