The Minister of National Defense in the caretaker government, Maurice Slim, expressed his condolences in Choueifat to the family of the martyr pilot, Richard Saab, who was killed in a military helicopter crash a few days ago in the Hamana area. Minister Slim informed the family of the martyr pilot Saab that their grief is "the grief of all Lebanese who were pained by this incident, and the investigation is ongoing to determine the causes of the helicopter's fall." He stated, "If it is the army's fate to always bid farewell to one martyr after another in order to protect Lebanon, its sovereignty, and its security, then it is the right of the families of these martyrs to take pride in that they have offered heroes at the altar of the homeland who were faithful to the oath they took and never faltered despite the challenges and difficult circumstances faced by military and security institutions, foremost among them the army."
