UAE Welcomes Ceasefire Decision in Sudan During Ramadan

The United Arab Emirates welcomed the United Nations Security Council's decision calling for a ceasefire in Sudan during the month of Ramadan, amidst the ongoing deterioration of the humanitarian situation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed hope that this step would help pave the way for ending the crisis between the Sudanese parties and facilitating the delivery of relief and humanitarian assistance to the affected areas, especially to the most vulnerable groups such as the sick, children, the elderly, and women. The Ministry affirmed its support for all efforts aimed at de-escalation, ceasefire, and the initiation of political dialogue, leading to the restoration of peace, security, and safety, and fulfilling the aspirations of the Sudanese people for stability and prosperity.
