Makhzoumi from Dar al-Fatwa: Extension for Army Commander is an Important Step

The Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Daryan, received MP Fouad Makhzoumi at Dar al-Fatwa. After their meeting, Makhzoumi expressed his hope for an end to all crimes, stating, "What is happening in Gaza is forbidden," affirming, "We stand by the Palestinian people." Regarding depositors' funds and the extension for General Joseph Aoun, he noted, "We have not seen any plan to retrieve their money; extending the army commander's term is an important step," questioning, "What is the government doing to support our people economically and socially?" He added, "We agreed with Mufti Daryan to establish a health support fund for the Beirut area, and we will begin working on it to stand by our people, and there is hope for this country, which belongs to us, and we will not give it up."
