The companies importing gasoline, diesel, and gas announced today, Thursday, that "after continuous meetings with several concerned officials, and based on statements and clarifications from various lawmakers, it has become clear that the extraordinary tax imposed on companies and individuals from all sectors that imported or benefited from the support system implemented by the Central Bank is not imposed on sales (turnover)." They added: "Accordingly, we positively await the final text from the Parliament to act accordingly. It is expected that the importing companies will resume the delivery of oil products in the coming hours."
