The Deputy Secretary-General of "Hezbollah," Sheikh Naeem Qassem, emphasized that "the resistance will endure and continue, and has prepared for that. Its source of strength is the right of the Palestinian people to their land, the people's support for the resistance, and the will to fight until the last breath." He indicated, in his speech during the 26th anniversary of the establishment of "Lebanese Brigades" in Beirut, that "there is now a race against time: who will achieve their goal first? Israel by liquidating the Palestinian cause, or the resistance by steadfastness and making the enemy despair of doing so?" Qassem stressed, "We are convinced that we will defeat Israel, but through points, and do not think we are in a hurry about this." He explained, "Some ask why you do not start your war against Israel on the basis of 'let them have it, Arabs'? We ask them, what are you doing? Or are you satisfied with just theorizing?"
