Auction expert in St. Petersburg, Russia, Venist Tsigankov, announced the sale of a personal card belonging to President Vladimir Putin for two million rubles. Tsigankov added, "The card sold for two million rubles, and the bidding lasted a long time, about five minutes, which is a very long time for an auction that stopped at this amount."
The card features Putin's handwritten phone numbers and dates back to the time he served as an international relations advisor to the Leningrad City Council, now St. Petersburg. It reads: "Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. International Relations Advisor to the Chairman of the Leningrad City Council."
Vladimir Putin worked as an advisor to the Chairman of the Leningrad City Council in 1990 and 1991 when Anatoly Sobchak was in charge.
