The Turkish Disaster Management Office announced that an earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale occurred today, Friday, in the Turkish resort of Antalya, coinciding with an international diplomatic forum being held there. A statement from the office indicated that the tremors were recorded at 09:48 AM local time in the Gazipaşa area of the resort. The epicenter of the tremors was located at a depth of 32.63 kilometers. The diplomatic forum opens today in Antalya, with the participation of more than 20 heads of foreign states and governments, around 90 ministers, including over 60 foreign ministers, among them Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and nearly 80 representatives from international organizations. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will deliver a speech at the opening ceremony of the forum.
