The Saudi royal court announced today, Friday, the death of Prince Turki bin Mohammed Al Saud, advisor to King Salman bin Abdulaziz. The late prince grew up in Riyadh and studied political science at King Saud University, obtaining his bachelor's degree in 1974. Four years later, he earned a master's degree in economics from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. He completed his academic journey by obtaining a doctorate in political science from the University of London in 1982.
He worked as a professor in the political science department at King Saud University in Riyadh for eight years. After earning his doctorate, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he served as deputy head of the Western Administration and as a professor at the Diplomatic Studies Institute in Riyadh. He was appointed head of the General Administration for International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the rank of ambassador in 1994. He later served as assistant undersecretary for political affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while continuing to head the General Administration for International Organizations.
He held the position of undersecretary for multilateral relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2001. In 2016, he was appointed advisor to King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
