Appointment of Abeer Al-Aql as CEO of the Al-Ula Authority: Who is She?

Following the suspension of Amr bin Saleh Abdulrahman Al-Madani, the CEO of the Royal Commission for Al-Ula, Abeer Al-Aql has been appointed to the position. Abeer Al-Aql joined the Royal Commission for Al-Ula in 2017 and has held several leadership positions, the latest being Head of the Private Initiatives and Partnerships Sector. Among her notable roles are Head of Strategic Delivery at the Royal Commission for Al-Ula, Director of Information Systems at SABB Bank, Productivity Management Manager at SABB Bank, and Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Abeer Al-Aql holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from King Saud University and completed an Executive Leadership Development Program at Harvard University. It is worth noting that the Saudi Corruption Ethics and Control Authority announced the suspension of Al-Madani due to his involvement in abuse of power and money laundering crimes.
