Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that "UNRWA is the polished face of Hamas and radical change is necessary to prevent international funds from being used for terrorism." He urged "international partners to join us in standing against terrorism in all its forms." He noted that the Israeli army will move "towards Rafah on the Gaza-Egypt border after Khan Younis." He said, "The Khan Younis battalion of Hamas has been dismantled. The army has managed to kill 10,000 fighters from Gaza and injured as many, rendering them unable to fight." Channel 12 reported, citing Gallant, that 427 homes were hit by Hezbollah fire in the north, about 80 of them directly.
