The Dar Al-Fatwa in the Lebanese Republic announced in a statement that the sighting of the crescent moon for the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1445 AH will be observed after sunset on Sunday, 29 Sha'ban 1445 AH, corresponding to March 10, 2024. This is based on the noble hadith "Fast when you see it and break your fast when you see it." The Grand Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Deryan, will communicate and consult after sunset that day with senior scholars, muftis, and ministers of Islamic endowments in Arab countries to confirm the sighting of the crescent.
