Russia Not Involved in Security Operation Launched by the U.S. in the Red Sea

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated today, Tuesday, that "Russia is not participating in the operation launched by the United States in an effort to ensure security in the Red Sea." Peskov said during a daily phone press conference: "We are not participating in the operation." U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced today the launch of a multinational security operation to secure trade in the Red Sea following a series of missile and drone attacks on ships by Iranian-aligned Houthis in Yemen.
