The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces, Public Relations Division, issued a statement stating: "As part of the awareness campaign about sexual harassment and Law No. 205, which aims to criminalize sexual harassment and rehabilitate its victims, and in commemoration of British national Rebecca Dykes, an employee at the British Embassy, the 'Becky’s Button' Association and the 'Ahlan Fawda' Association, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces, organized a two-phase awareness campaign on this subject at the Corniche in Ain el-Mreisse." The statement continued, "During this event, a device used to combat cases of sexual harassment was distributed by the Becky’s Button and 'Ahlan Fawda' Associations, along with a pamphlet on how to use this device." It pointed out that "the Internal Security Forces also distributed a leaflet containing guidelines on how to protect oneself from harassment, which can be accessed through the following link: https://www.isf.gov.lb/qrcode." The statement concluded, "It is also worth noting that Lebanon remains one of the safest countries regarding the crime of harassment."
