The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that air forces destroyed 22 targets belonging to the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq on Wednesday. It added that the strikes were carried out in the Metina, Hakurk, Jara, Qandil, and Asos regions. The airstrikes came after the PKK claimed responsibility for an attack near government buildings in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on Sunday.
