The British Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) confirmed that it received a report of an incident 71 nautical miles southwest of Salif in Yemen. Houthi forces have been attacking ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden since November, claiming it is part of a "campaign of solidarity with the Palestinians during Israel's war on the Gaza Strip."
