Hankash: "The Party" is the Ruler of the Country's Future and the Decision of Peace and War

Deputy Elias Hankash stated during a talk on the program "Nokta A'al Satr" on Voice of Lebanon 100.5: "Lebanon is today on the brink of war because the decision is not in the hands of the Lebanese authority. Hezbollah has destroyed the state, sovereignty, and institutions, and has become the ruler of this country's future regarding the decisions of peace and war." He added, "Today, the responsibility falls on everyone, but there is a group of MPs doing their utmost to keep Lebanon away from these conflicts and to restore the state's sovereignty. Tomorrow, we will stand as opposition MPs in the Parliament to confront the other team's policy, but at the same time, there is another team working to disrupt the election of the President and halt the return to normal political life in Lebanon." Hankash pointed out that the fate of Lebanon and the Lebanese is tied to Hezbollah's decisions, stating, "We are today at a historic stage, and Lebanon is unable to make the appropriate decisions to enforce its authority and army across all Lebanese territory and to prevent any drifting into war with Israel."
