The spokesman for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, confirmed that "our fighters have managed to destroy 35 military vehicles totally or partially, kill 48 Israeli soldiers, and injure dozens with varying wounds. They executed 24 military operations targeting the encroaching Israeli forces with shells and anti-fortification and personnel explosives, engaging them from zero distance and targeting their rescue teams." He continued: "Our fighters rigged two tunnels in the 'Yahalom' unit and a minefield near the occupying forces' vehicles and soldiers, in addition to six sniper operations aimed at enemy soldiers." He added: "Our fighters struck command posts, field operations rooms, and military gatherings with mortars and short-range rockets across all fronts of the Gaza Strip and showered the city of Tel Aviv with a barrage of rockets."
