Lackluster Performance for Wall Street at Opening

The major indices on Wall Street showed a lackluster performance at the opening today, Friday, after rising in the previous session driven by inflation data that bolstered bets on interest rate cuts by June, alongside continued interest in AI company stocks. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 6.88 points, or 0.02%, at the opening to 38,989.51 points, while the S&P 500 increased by 2.24 points, or 0.04%, to 5,098.51 points. The Nasdaq Composite gained 17.90 points, or 0.11%, at the opening to 16,109.83 points.
