Explosion Near Ship Off Yemen Coast

The British Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) and the British maritime security company "Ambrey" reported today, Tuesday, that they received "reports of an explosion near a commercial vessel off the coast of the Yemeni city of Aden." Ambrey mentioned that "a cargo vessel owned by Greeks and flying the Marshall Islands flag was targeted while heading south through the maritime security transit corridor approximately 53 nautical miles southwest of Aden." The ship was en route to India from the United States. Ambrey and the UKMTO stated that "the ship and its crew are safe."
