The first polling stations in the Russian presidential elections opened on Friday in the far eastern region of Russia as part of a three-day voting process. Voting began on Friday in the Kamchatka Peninsula and in Chukotka, located in the far east of Russia, and will conclude on Sunday in the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, situated within the European Union.
