Palestinian Health Minister Mai Al-Kaila announced on Thursday that the health situation in the Gaza Strip has completely collapsed, noting that the bombardment targets all locations, hospitals, mosques, churches, and shelters. In a statement published by the Ministry of Health on its Facebook page, she stated that the Israeli assault has resulted in the deaths of approximately 11,000 Palestinians, two-thirds of whom are women, children, and the elderly, along with 26,000 others injured. The minister also pointed out that 18 out of 35 hospitals have ceased operations due to the Israeli bombardment and fuel shortages. Al-Kaila called for the urgent opening of safe corridors for the evacuation of the injured for treatment outside the Gaza Strip, the entry of volunteer medical teams, and the immediate provision of fuel to operate electricity generators in hospitals, as well as the entry of medical supplies and medications. Earlier, the White House reported that Israel would initiate a four-hour ceasefire in northern Gaza today to allow people to escape the fighting, describing it as a step in the right direction.
