The Swedish company "Electrolux" has formed a task force to find alternative methods or prioritize delivery operations in an attempt to avoid any disruptions that may arise from Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea. As the world's largest manufacturer of home appliances, Electrolux is the latest company to take action after recent ship attacks forced leading shipping firms, such as Maersk, to reroute their vessels and take the route around the Cape of Good Hope to avoid passing through the Suez Canal. Electrolux stated late Monday that it is considering this measure, but currently estimates the impact on deliveries will be limited. Approximately 12 percent of global shipping traffic passes through the Suez Canal, which is the shortest maritime route between Europe and Asia.
