A senior leader in the Yemeni Houthi movement stated today, Saturday, that he holds British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his government responsible for the sinking of the Rubymar cargo ship, owned by a British company. In a post on X, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of the Supreme Political Council governing Houthi-controlled areas, said, "Sunak has an opportunity to salvage the Rubymar by allowing aid trucks into Gaza." Earlier today, the internationally recognized Yemeni government announced that the Rubymar ship, which was attacked by the Houthis last month, has sunk in the Red Sea, warning of an "environmental disaster" due to the ship's cargo of fertilizers.
