Support for Displaced Persons from the South is Welcome

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the caretaker government, Abdullah Buhabib, during his meeting with the President of the International Red Cross, Kate Forbes, and the accompanying delegation, pointed out that "we have about one hundred thousand displaced persons from the south due to the recent events and Israeli assaults, and they are in urgent need of care and assistance, any possible help from the International Red Cross is welcomed."

Buhabib informed the German minister that Lebanon "wants comprehensive solutions, not partial ones." The refugee issue and the financing of UNRWA were also addressed.
