Sisi and Abbas Renew Firm Rejection of Palestinian Displacement

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas emphasized that "the only solution to all the escalation happening in the region is a political solution by ending the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine with its capital, Jerusalem." During their meeting today, Monday, in Cairo, Abbas briefed Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and the Gaza Strip, stressing the "necessity of working with all parties to ensure the cessation of the Israeli aggression against our people everywhere, particularly in the Gaza Strip." Abbas firmly rejected the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, the West Bank, or Jerusalem. The Palestinian president congratulated his Egyptian counterpart on his victory in the presidential elections for a new term, praising Egypt's leading role in serving the Palestinian cause.
