Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly indicated today, Thursday, that "the government plans to make large deals to ensure liquidity and will work with traders to control prices, prioritizing the availability of foreign currency for importers of essential goods after allowing the value of the currency to decline sharply." He added in a press conference: "Our main concern with traders in the next phase is controlling prices to reflect the true and realistic prices of goods." Madbouly continued: "The Ministry of Interior has been instructed to take stringent action against black market traders and the networks that were controlling the remittances of Egyptians abroad."
