Not everything on Earth is catastrophic; some disasters come from the sky... The sky contains many blessings and great calamities simultaneously, such as fatal hurricanes and storms, in addition to strange incidents that may sometimes spark major wars. What has been happening over North America in recent days has captured the attention of the entire world. Are we on the brink of a world war, or have extraterrestrial beings truly arrived?
The story began about two weeks ago when American and Canadian authorities spotted a Chinese balloon that Beijing claimed was launched for scientific purposes but had lost its way. Meanwhile, Washington confirmed its spy nature and ordered its downing under the direction of President Joe Biden.
However, what happened afterward was puzzling... On February 10, the Pentagon announced that American fighter jets had shot down an unidentified object at high altitude north of Alaska. The same occurrence repeated the next day and the day after, where an American fighter jet shot down an "unknown object" over Lake Huron. Many questions surrounded these previously mentioned operations, especially the last three: were the objects shot down for espionage purposes, like the first incident with the Chinese balloon, or were they objects from outside the planet?
The second theory was not dismissed by White House spokesperson John Kirby, who did not rule out the possibility that the flying object could be from extraterrestrial beings. This sentiment was echoed by General Glen VanHerck, commander of North American Aerospace Defense Command, who stated, "I do not rule anything out, and I will leave it to the intelligence community to uncover the truth."
This theory sparked widespread debate on social media. While some ridiculed the situation, suggesting that the events were a distraction from serious issues Washington is preparing for, others expressed concern about what the coming days might bring and whether we would face a new scenario for human existence with the arrival of extraterrestrial beings. This was particularly so because some American officials indicated that the object had eight sides, while others confirmed it was cylindrical.
The hashtag "aliens" trended on Twitter, and it also featured in tweets from Lebanese users, whose posts ranged from humor and sarcasm to concern... Calamities come from all directions... and extraterrestrial beings might be next!
