Exchange of Accusations Between Netanyahu and Erdoğan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan indicated today, Wednesday, that "Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is no different from Adolf Hitler," comparing Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip to "the Nazis' treatment of the Jews." Erdoğan reiterated during an event in Ankara his criticism of the West's support for Israel, adding that "Turkey is ready to welcome academics and scholars suffering from persecution due to their opinions on the conflict in Gaza." In turn, Netanyahu responded, saying, "Erdoğan, who has stated that he commits genocide against the Kurds and jails journalists, is the last person who should preach to others about morality."
