Bou Habib: Israel Aggresses Lebanon Using Internationally Prohibited Weapons

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the caretaker government, Abdullah Bou Habib, stated that "we appreciate that the United Nations plays an active role in ending the war, and does not turn into another League of Nations, so that the efforts made lead to a lasting ceasefire and the delivery of aid to Gaza and the rescue of its afflicted people, and the initiation of a final solution to this crisis, which can only be through adopting the two-state solution, according to the Arab Peace Initiative that originated from the Beirut Summit in 2002." During his speech at the Arab-Russian Forum in Marrakech, Morocco, he pointed out that "Israel has aggressed against my country Lebanon, its people, and its journalists, and continues to do so, using internationally prohibited weapons, especially white phosphorus against people and land."

Abdullah Bou Habib also confirmed that "the Lebanese side constantly coordinates with the Russian side on many issues." In an interview with "Sputnik," Bou Habib said, "Lebanon is in continual coordination with the Russian side, especially at the level of the United Nations," expressing hope for the continued development of Arab-Russian relations. Bou Habib highlighted "the importance of the Russian position on the Palestinian issue, especially at the United Nations," describing it as "excellent." He also emphasized the significance of Arab-Russian rapprochement based on strong and historical relations, affirming the continuation of cooperation and coordination.
