Russia: The US Has Not Provided Evidence of Our Desire to Deploy Nuclear Weapons in Space

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov stated that "the United States has not provided any evidence of claims regarding Russia's desire to deploy nuclear weapons in space." Russian media reported from Ryabkov that "communications with the United States on this matter have been entirely unproductive." It is noted that US intelligence believes that "Russia may be developing a device powered by nuclear energy to disrupt, obscure, or damage the electronic components within satellites."
