Alcaraz to Participate in a Tennis Tournament in Saudi Arabia

Tennis player Carlos Alcaraz, ranked number one in the world, confirmed that he "will participate one day in a tennis tournament in Saudi Arabia," considering that "Saudi Arabia has the capability to host many tournaments." He informed the President of the Professional Players Association, Andrea Gaudenzi, that he has "held discussions with the Saudi Public Investment Fund and some other potential investors about establishing projects, building infrastructure, hosting competitions, and investing in technology."

Saudi Arabia has never hosted a tournament affiliated with the ATP, but it organized the Diriyah Tennis Cup, where several prominent players, including Daniil Medvedev and Stanislas Wawrinka, participated. Additionally, Saudi Arabia has spent millions in football, attracting local clubs and many stars from European clubs like Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. Saudi Arabia has also invested in Formula 1 racing and boxing.
