Death of the Iraqi Woman Madlula.. The Oldest Living Person in the World

The Iraqi National News Agency reported the death of the oldest Iraqi woman, Madlula, who was nearly 138 years old, in one of the districts east of Nasiriyah in Dhi Qar province. According to the Iraqi agency, the Iraqi citizen Madlula, also known as "Madlula," from the Al-Ishaal district east of Nasiriyah, died due to a health issue. She was recognized as the oldest living person in Iraq, and possibly in the world, as her death certificate noted her age as 138 years, with her birthdate recorded as July 1, 1885. The agency quoted family members saying that she had been married to three deceased husbands and had one son, who died during the war. She maintained a remarkable memory and mental activity until her passing, living a normal life until she experienced a health issue that led to heart failure and arteriosclerosis.
