Somali television reported today, via its account on the platform "X," that "Somali security forces neutralized the attackers of a well-known hotel in the capital Mogadishu." Security forces were earlier seen surrounding the Syil Hotel, a frequented spot for government officials and lawmakers, after an attack claimed by the militant group Al-Shabaab. The attackers stormed the hotel, located near the presidential office, on Thursday evening.
