Saudi media reports revealed on Thursday that "Al-Nassr club will punish several of its players for disciplinary reasons." The newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" reported that "the club's management has informed the punished players that fines will be deducted from their salaries, and they must pay the amounts or face deductions from their monthly salary."
Portuguese coach Luis Castro, in coordination with Italian executive Guido Vinga, imposed fines on players during the past period due to their failure to attend training sessions at the club on time. The total amount of the fines reached over $100,000, affecting several local and foreign players. However, this list did not include a punishment for the club's captain and star player, Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, who has not recorded any tardiness since the financial penalty system was implemented. Castro has also sidelined several players this season from matches due to their lateness in attending team training sessions.
