American media reported that a former U.S. officer set himself on fire in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington, shouting "Free Palestine," and stating that self-immolation is terrible but not as terrible as what is happening in Gaza. Late at night, the condition of the U.S. Air Force officer deteriorated, as he shouted, "I will no longer be complicit in genocide... Free Palestine."
