A reporter from the "National News Agency" in Nabatieh reported that a 60-year-old resident of the town of Duwair, identified as A.M.Q., stormed the municipal building today before noon and attempted to set it on fire by throwing gasoline at the entrance of the mayor's office. He lit the fire and assaulted the clerk, Rasha Ali Ramal, due to his objection to a legally non-existent road that passes through a property he owns in the town.
Immediately, the Civil Defense team located in the same building rushed to extinguish the flames and attend to employee Ramal, who suffered a nervous breakdown. The assailant fled to his property in the Al-Wadi area, where he proceeded to block the road against cars and pedestrians. A patrol from the Nabatieh police station arrived at the municipality and initiated an investigation.
