The police of Nashville, Tennessee, announced that several people have died in a light plane crash on a highway in the city. The police stated that the plane crashed off the eastbound lanes after the Charlotte Pike exit, adding that the departure location has not been identified. U.S. media reported that the plane, which departed from Huntsville, Alabama, experienced a malfunction in the engine during its flight. The airport authority and the National Transportation Safety Board, along with the Federal Aviation Administration, stated that they will conduct an investigation.
