Paris Summit on Prisoner Exchange: Progress in Negotiations

The Hebrew Channel "Kan" reported that the Paris summit between Israel, the United States, France, and Qatar, held today (Sunday) with the presence of the heads of the Mossad and Shin Bet, resulted in noticeable progress in negotiations. The meeting addressed a plan for the gradual release of Israeli prisoners from Gaza. The channel noted "cautious optimism in Israel following today’s meetings of intelligence heads in Paris, with a war council scheduled to meet tomorrow evening to discuss the details." The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu indicated, according to "Reuters," that "the summit discussing the hostage agreement was constructive, but there are still gaps." He added, "The parties will continue negotiations this week on a hostage agreement."
