Global artist Madonna revealed details about the health crisis she experienced last year during her first concert of five consecutive shows in Los Angeles. Regarding the first word she spoke after awakening from a four-day medical coma, Madonna said: "No."
She discussed her hospitalization following a severe bacterial infection, stating: "This show every night is not physically hard for me, but it's emotionally challenging because I am truly standing here telling you my life story. My heart is open," emphasizing that nothing could stop her from performing, not even illness.
She noted that her health crisis felt like a near-death experience, and added that her first word upon waking from the coma was "no," explaining: "I am absolutely sure that the word 'no' was in response to a question from God about whether I wanted to die."
