Arrest of 34 People Following Violence in Dublin (Video)

Drew Harris, the police commissioner in Dublin, Ireland, announced on Friday that 34 individuals have been arrested in connection with the violence and riots that followed a knife attack by a migrant on pedestrians near a school last night. Harris stated that the arrests were made following "massive destruction caused by the vandals in the country."

Irish Justice Minister Helen McEntee said: "The police are pursuing a specific line of investigation regarding the brutal attack." She added, "The riots were committed by a small group of people who do not represent the vast majority in the country, and they are using the knife attack to cause chaos and sow division."

Violent clashes occurred on Thursday between police and protesters who used fireworks and flares, setting fire to a hotel, a police car, a bus, and a subway train after a migrant, reportedly of Algerian descent, attacked pedestrians with a knife, injuring five people, including three children.
