Israeli President: I Had a "Good Discussion" with the Qatari Prime Minister

Israeli President Isaac Herzog announced today, Saturday, that he met with the Qatari Prime Minister who is attempting to mediate a ceasefire in the Gaza war. A statement issued by Herzog's office mentioned that he said during the Munich Security Conference, "I met with the Qatari Prime Minister yesterday... it was a good discussion. I believe he is making significant efforts. He has put in a great deal of effort and is giving substantial focus to this issue." The presidency in Israel is largely ceremonial and does not have a direct impact on policy-making.
