Casualties in Ukrainian Shelling of Russian Base in Crimea

The Ukrainian military intelligence agency announced yesterday, Friday, that Ukraine launched a drone attack on a Russian military base deep in the Crimean Peninsula, while residents reported casualties and explosions. Ukrainian intelligence officials stated that the attack targeted the 126th Coastal Defense Brigade positioned in Perevalne, a town located more than 200 kilometers from Ukrainian-controlled territory.

Andriy Yusov, spokesperson for the Ukrainian military intelligence agency, confirmed that a strike occurred. Residents of Perevalne posted on the Telegram app that they heard explosions from the military base and reported casualties.

In Moscow, a new drone attack occurred in the early hours of Saturday. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated that air defense systems shot down a drone over the Istra area in Moscow. The TASS news agency reported that three major airports in Moscow suspended their flights.

In Belgorod, the Russian defense ministry announced today, Saturday, that it destroyed a drone over the Belgorod region, which is adjacent to Ukraine and has been subjected to repeated attacks.
