Molawi Inspects the Airport: No Matter How Difficult the Circumstances, Our Message is Clear

The Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Judge Bassam Molawi, visited Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut this evening ahead of the holidays. He toured various sections of the airport, starting with the departure hall where he learned from the head of the inspection unit, Colonel Ali Hamoush, about the operational mechanisms and inspection systems implemented by the Internal Security Forces. During his tour, the Minister also inspected the arrival hall and the smooth flow of operations there.

After the tour, Molawi made a statement from the airport: "No matter how difficult the circumstances, our message is clear. The message of state-building, strength, confrontation, and security, while preserving Lebanon. Today, we conducted this tour on the eve of the holidays, and may they return to all Lebanese with goodness. The airport is Lebanon's facade, and it is the first image of Lebanon. The airport must always remain and be a beautiful image of Lebanon. Despite economic hardships, the team working at the airport and the airport security apparatus are doing great work. The number of flights has reached 162 each day, with 23,500 travelers arriving and departing daily. These large numbers are proof of confidence in Lebanon. We, along with the airport security apparatus and all the affiliated entities such as the Army, Internal Security Forces, General Security, and Customs, are fulfilling all our duties. Our message to the Lebanese is faith and responsibility. Our message to the airport security personnel and all airport workers."

In response to a question, he noted that "the number of flights during this period has increased, and people want to come to Lebanon and see this beautiful country despite all the challenges. The world remains, the airport remains, and Lebanon remains." Regarding threats to the airport, the Minister of Interior stated that the airport "is safe as long as the Lebanese have faith." Molawi concluded by mentioning that a significant number of tourists are Arabs arriving in Lebanon.
