After the incident of child abuse at the Garderêve nursery in Jdeideh-Maten, Minister of Health in the caretaker government, Firas Al-Abyad, called for an emergency meeting of the Juvenile Protection Committee following the abusive video. He confirmed that teams from the ministry are conducting inspection rounds at nurseries.
In a statement to "Al-Hadath," he stated, "There should be an increase in surprise visits to nurseries, and all staff working in nurseries should undergo training." Al-Abyad confirmed that the ministry is in communication with the families of the abused children, "and all children in the nursery we closed will undergo medical examinations, and all staff members have been referred to the judiciary."
