The Russian Foreign Ministry announced today, Thursday, that it "summoned the US ambassador to Moscow to warn her that it will expel American diplomats whom it sees as interfering in its internal affairs." The Foreign Ministry stated in a press release that it will monitor what it described as "subversive activities and the dissemination of information" related to elections, as well as what the Kremlin refers to as the "special military operation in Ukraine." It added that such behavior "will be met with strict and resolute measures, including the expulsion of embassy personnel involved in such activities, considering them undesirable figures." The Foreign Ministry also urged the US embassy to "stop supporting three American non-profit organizations that it claims are running 'anti-Russia' programs in the country, aimed at recruiting agents under the guise of educational and cultural exchanges."
