Deputy Bilal Abdullah confirmed that "the initiative of the Progressive Socialist Party is still ongoing, stemming from the country's need for contributions to break existing concerns and high ceilings, and it will continue." He emphasized "the necessity of having a solid national ground that allows the external parties some are relying on to assist Lebanon, which necessitates dialogue among the groups." In a conversation with "Voice of Lebanon" radio, he reiterated the importance of "choosing a president who does not provoke anyone domestically and is capable of opening lines of communication with the outside." He pointed out that "all circulating proposals will be subject to discussion, with the importance of going to the Parliament this time and participating in the voting, moving away from the blank ballot." In response to a question about the bloc's position, Abdullah replied: "The Democratic Gathering meets and makes decisions; each session has its own calculations."
