Iran: Red Sea Events Are the Result, Not the Cause

The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanani, stated that what is happening in the Red Sea is the result, not the cause, asserting that "the U.S. and Britain aim, through instigating new crises, to provide an opportunity for the Zionist entity and are trying to undermine stability and security in the region." During his weekly press conference on Monday, Kanani referenced the UN envoy on Yemeni affairs' visit to Iran, noting, "The meeting focused on Yemen, its stability and security, and the other related issues," emphasizing that "Iran is seriously concerned about supporting Yemen and is utilizing all its diplomatic capacities in this regard." Kanani pointed out that "Iran has emphasized a political solution since the onset of the Yemeni crisis and considered the military solution ineffective," adding, "We are pleased that, after nine years, all players in the Yemeni file are focusing on dialogue."
