The spokesperson for the Houthis, Yahya Saree, announced today, Wednesday, that the Houthi group targeted the American commercial ship "Jinko Picardi" with missiles in the Gulf of Aden. According to a statement issued by the Yemeni armed forces: "In solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and in support of our brothers' steadfastness in the Gaza Strip, and as part of the response to American-British aggression on our country, the naval forces of the Yemeni armed forces executed an operation targeting the American ship (Jinko Picardi) in the Gulf of Aden using several appropriate naval missiles, resulting in a precise and direct hit."

He continued: "The Yemeni armed forces will not hesitate to target all sources of threat in the Arabian and Red Seas as part of their legitimate right to defend our dear Yemen and continue supporting the oppressed Palestinian people, emphasizing that the response to American and British attacks is inevitable, and any new aggression will not go unanswered and unpunished."

The statement concluded: "The Yemeni armed forces affirm the continuation of maritime navigation in the Arabian and Red Seas to all destinations around the world, except for the ports of occupied Palestine, and that their operations against Israeli ships or those heading to the ports of occupied Palestine will not cease until the aggression stops and the blockade on the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is lifted."
